Hungry 4 Change

child from Malawi impacted by Pamoza's school breakfast program

Hungry4Change is a two-day event that challenges middle and high school students to give up food for 30 hours while learning about the needs of children in Africa and raising money to support them. H4C allows young people to experience true hunger and learn powerful lessons of compassion for those who live with hunger every day. By gaining a deeper awareness of the needs in our world, youth will realize they can play a vital role in making a difference.

As part of their fasting, H4C participants will be raising money to support Pamoza International’s school breakfast programs, which help mitigate hunger and malnutrition among school children. It costs Pamoza $10 per day to feed a child for 1 whole year and we have nearly 1,500 students benefiting from our school breakfast programs.

This year’s H4C event will take place on April 1-2 at The Philadelphia Project. Students will have the unique opportunity to serve both globally by supporting Pamoza and locally by serving on Saturday around the city of Philadelphia.
